The spacing between lines of text is known as line spacing. Tight line spacing allows for more text to be squeezed into a given space whereas loose line spacing makes text easier to read.  Select the lines you want to adjust the line spacing for. Line spacing can be found in the Paragraph section of the Home tab. A drop-down menu appears when you press the line spacing button.
